[LPTech Co., Ltd] Unveils Its Proprietary Teaching-less Gripper

LPTech Co., Ltd, a factory automation consulting specialist, showcased its in-house developed robot grippers, along with motors and gear reducers, at ROBOTWORLD 2022, held from October 26 to 28 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Korea.
Park HyungSoon, CEO of LPTech, explained,
“The Teaching-less Gripper developed through our R&D efforts can be operated using only a gripping signal, without any teaching process that requires inputting the size information of the workpiece. It can grip objects regardless of their shape.”
He added,
“Designed to function similarly to human fingers, the gripper can stably grasp and transport products, solving issues such as lids detaching during handling with conventional grippers. Moreover, as it can be customized, it has strong potential for application across various industries, including semiconductors and displays.”
Park also noted that the technology is currently under patent application.
LPTech stated that it plans to further develop into a smart factory–focused company. CEO Park, a widely recognized smart factory expert, founded the company after accumulating approximately 15 years of experience in the smart factory sector. This expertise has been actively integrated into employee training programs and business expansion strategies.
“In addition to our existing distribution and consulting businesses, we aim to enhance brand recognition through technology investment and marketing in the robot gripper sector. Based on this, we will promote a modularization business model to increase revenue and grow into a full-scale smart factory system integrator,” Park said.
Meanwhile, ROBOTWORLD 2022 was hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea and co-organized by the Korea Association of Robot Industry, Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, and the Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems. The exhibition featured 227 companies from 12 countries, spanning 702 booths.
